Trish Wade, former volleyball coach at St. John High School, looks forward to her first season as Nickerson High School coach.
“I am excited and looking forward to the upcoming season,” Wade said. “I have a few girls that I’ve seen just at camp, but I haven’t seen everyone as I will have the opportunity to start practices next week (Monday). I will have a better idea once I’m in the gym working with them.”
Two of Nickerson’s top returning players are senior middle blocker Delaney Childs and junior setter/defensive specialist Denae England.
“Those are the two that stand out right now,” Wade said. “I have a couple of freshmen that I am excited about, but I will have a better idea after we have practice and I can watch them work out and get an idea about their work ethic, their drive and their heart.”
