The Hutchinson Trinity Catholic High School boys and girls cross country teams open the season with their time trials at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30 at Hutchinson’s Rice Park.
The Trinity Celtics will have 30 runners out for the team this season (six girls and 24 boys).
The first scheduled official meet for the Trinity Celtic runners is the Thomas More Prep-Marian Invitational at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, in Hays.
The girls team consists of sophomores Sally Harroald, Emma Martin, Clara Robinson and Mia Vega. Freshman are Arianna Cano and Aleaha Leighton.
The Trinity boys team is led by eight seniors: Alex Guajardo, Cameron Kiser, Noah Lau, Jacob Lindstrom, John Lindstrom, Byran Maya, Ambrose Pennycuff and Sam Pennycuff.
Juniors are Dylan Bornholdt, Sam Madden and Jackson Robinson. Sophomores are Gavin Scott and Jonathan Springer. Freshmen are David Bargdill, Owen Hammersmith, Josh Parker, Elias Pennycuff and Axel Waline.
