Congratulations to Ad Astra Radio’s Athlete of the Week, Ty Romero!
The week – Romero wrapped up his high school career in style at the Class 1A Division 2 state tournament on March 12-15 in Colby. Romero helped Elyria to a third-place finish by averaging 31 points in three games. He also averaged 5.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 steals a game. Romero shot a sizzling 59% from the floor, 54% from 3-point range, and 88% from the free-throw line.
The season – Romero, who is headed to William Jewell to play college basketball, enjoyed a strong summer, playing basketball with his future collegiate teammates in the Livin the Dream League in Kansas City. The team went undefeated.
