STAFFORD COUNTY, Kan. – The Stafford County Fire Department has recently enhanced its life-saving capabilities through a generous donation from Corteva Agriscience and Pioneer Seeds. These leading agricultural companies contributed funds as part of their Community Betterment Program.

The funds were specifically allocated to procure crucial grain bin rescue equipment. This specialized gear is vital for safely extracting individuals trapped within grain bins, a high-risk scenario that can occur during farming operations.

To ensure rapid response and widespread coverage across the county, the newly acquired grain bin rescue equipment will be strategically housed at the Seward fire station. This location was chosen for its central position in the northern part of Stafford County, allowing firefighters to quickly reach incidents. The Stafford County Fire Department expressed its gratitude for the donation, emphasizing that this equipment will significantly improve their ability to protect the lives of farmers and agricultural workers.
