Lindsborg, Kan. – The Bethany College Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country and Track & Field staff has announced that Christopher Yoder has joined their staffs.
Head Coach Daylon Smith had this to say regarding the hiring of Chris Yoder: “I am excited to be working alongside Christopher Yoder this year as he moves into his new coaching role. Coach Yoder has been a part of the program for 5 years and he comes into this position with tons of distance experience and a strong commitment to his faith in God. I am excited to see him succeed as a coach using his skills and dedication for the Swedes as we work together to build something special!”
Chris recently joined alumni status as he just graduated from Bethany College this past spring.
As an athlete, Chris earned plenty of accolades such as KCAC Scholar Athlete for each sport from 2021-25 and KCAC Champion of Character three times. He was also actively involved with Bethany College as he was the SGA (Student Government Association) Parliamentarian from 2023-25 and served on SALT (Student Athletic Leadership Team) as a member from 2022-24.
“As an alumnus of Bethany College, I am super excited to be back,” said newly-named assistant coach Chris Yoder. “I have enjoyed coming to school at Bethany for the past five years and I am even more excited to be back to coach. This community is amazing and I have made so many connections, friendships, and relationships here. I have been able to be discipled while I have been here and I hope to continue to be discipled while hopefully discipling others as well. I am hoping to help build up student leaders in the process of my coaching and build up opportunistic, devoted, and accountable young adults. I am beyond blessed, thankful, and grateful for the amazing opportunity that I have been given.”
Chris Yoder graduated from Bethany College in 2025 with a double major of Criminal Justice and Psychology.
