HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The City of Hutchinson is preparing for the 2025 Junior Golf Championships, which will take place Friday, Aug. 8 at Carey Park Golf Course.
The championships will feature golf athletes in two separate age groups: 14 & Over and 13 & Under, separated by each gender. The event will begin at noon on Holes No. 1 & No. 10. Talent will represent local schools districts, including Hutchinson, Buhler, Trinity Catholic, Central Christian School, Lyons, and Little River.
The event was founded in 1968 by Max Hamilton, a longtime coach at Hutchinson High School. The competition has run every year since, even when duties were taken over by Tom Swain in 1986 then the Hutchinson Golf Council in 1996.
The official scorecard with the participants is below. Attendees are encouraged to stay hydrated as temperatures in the Hutchinson area could reach 100 degrees.
