There’s only one race in the Golden Belt area in Tuesday’s primary election.
That is in Great Bend’s Ward 2, generally the northwest part of the city where four candidates are running for the one position up this year, which is an open seat as incumbent Alan Moeder is running for Mayor.
Candidates seeking the position include Stephen Patton, Suresh Bhadur Maharjan, Charlie Dixon, and Jay Luerman. The two candidates receiving the most votes will advance to the November general election.
Advance voting at the Barton County Clerk’s Office will conclude at noon today, with in-person voting Tuesday from 7 AM to 7 PM at the Prince of Peace St. Patrick’s Community Center at 4100 Broadway.
