HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce Cael Kooiman, upcoming junior at Central Christian School as this week’s Athlete of the Week.
The week – Kooiman performed well at the Central Links Golf Junior Match Play Championship, which was July 7-10 at Wamego Country Club. Kooiman first had to go through a stroke play, where he tied for 14th with a 6-over-par 76. Kooiman then went 1-2 in matches in pool play
The season – Kooiman just finished a strong sophomore season at Central Christian, where he helped the Cougars win the Class 1A state championship at Mariah Hills Golf Course in Dodge City. The Cougars won the title by 17 strokes, and Kooiman finished seventh individually with a two-round 150.
