Halstead Promotes Chandler Henkelman as New Head Baseball Coach

HALSTEAD, Kan. – Halstead High School announced on social media Tues., July 15 that they have promoted Assistant Baseball Coach Chandler Henkelman as their new Head Coach.

Henkelman has a hefty background of baseball going back to his playing days. He played collegiate baseball at Tabor College as a first baseman and pitcher. Following his time at Tabor, he started his coaching career in Quinter.

Following his lone season in Quinter, Henkelman moved to Halstead to be an assistant baseball coach and special education teacher. Alongside his duties in Halstead, Henkelman is the head coach of the Kansas Curve summer baseball team. According to Halstead High School, he has a compassion, competitiveness, and dedication for the sport.
