IOLA, Kan. – The Iola Post 15 American Legion Baseball team will participate in the KALB Class C State Tournament, held in Topeka July 17-20.
The Iola Indians Class C team, which is in the 17U age class, will be the No. 5 seed out of eight teams in the tournament. The double elimination bracket will be held at Lake Shawnee Bettis Sports Complex in Topeka.
Iola’s first game will be Thurs., July 17 at 1:00 p.m. against Pittsburg. They will then face No. 1 Garnett or No. 8 Paola.
According to GameChanger, the team finished the regular season with a 9-11 record, last beating Pittsburg twice Wed., July 9.
