The procession began in Wichita at noon and came past McPherson around 1 PM. All along the route on I-135 Emergency vehicles and in a few locations private citizens paid their respect at most overpasses along I-135.

McPherson emergency responders paid their respects at the overpasses from K-61 to Mohawk Road. This was also done as it passed Arrowhead Road east of Moundridge by Lindsborg Police and Fire at Wells Fargo Road.
