HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Congratulations to this week’s athlete of the week, Trinity Catholic High School sophomore Alex Suter-Tan!
The week – Suter-Tan set, and later tied, her career-high in scoring with 22 points. Her first 22-point night came in a close 39-35 loss to Wichita Central Christian Academy, and Suter-Tan followed up that performance with 22 more points in a 53-45 win over Sedgwick. Suter-Tan scored exactly 11 points in each half in helping the Celtics win their second game of the season.
The season – Suter-Tan, a sophomore point guard, is having a breakout season for the Celtics. She is averaging 17.1 points a game and has scored at least 20 points in four straight games. Suter-Tan also has scored 15 points or more 11 times and leads the Celtics with 23 3-pointers made. Suter-Tan also averages 5.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
