LITTLE RIVER, Kan. — Each week, Ad Astra Radio recognizes different athlete’s outstanding achievements. Congratulations to the Athlete of the Week for the week of 11/3 – 11/9 Adelynne Strecker, Little River junior.
The week: Strecker was instrumental in leading Little River to the Class 1A Division 1 state championship in Dodge City. The junior libero had a 96% serve percentage, received 73 serves without an error and had a perfect pass on 50 of those 73. She also played stellar defense with 61 digs. Little River played five matches and won four in straight sets.
The season: Strecker had a strong season in helping Little River win a third straight state championship. She served at a 97.3% clip and had 31 aces. She received 509 serves and committed just 17 errors on those. She also played superb defense with 487 digs.
