LARNED, Kan. — Simmons & Simmons, Inc., a public accounting firm that provides professional accounting and tax services, recently moved to a new office in the Larned, Kansas, at 111 E 8th Street to accommodate continued growth and leverage the area’s need for public accounting and tax services.
The new office space doubles the office footprint and supports the company’s growth strategy. Simmons & Simmons’s continued growth has facilitated the need for additional space to accommodate the addition of more staff and greater space for client services. The new location
will further accelerate the company’s growth.
“The decision to expand our presence in the Larned area was a logical step in our business growth strategy,” said William Nusser, president. “The firm has a rich history in Larned serving the community and area since the early 1930s. The new location positions the firm well for the future. We now have the opportunity to further expand and professional services as well as increase our ability to service new and current clients.”

The accounting firm currently known as Simmons & Simmons, Inc. was originated by Bill Avery in early 1930s. The firm later became Avery and Avery when Bill’s son Everett joined the firm. In 1970, First National Bank & Trust Company purchased the firm and renamed it National Accounting Service. In 1982, National Accounting Service was purchased by Bob Pivonka, running the firm as R.C. Pivonka Accounting until 1988 when Kevin and Joe Simmons became partners in Simmons & Simmons, Inc. In 2017, William Nusser acquired Simmons & Simmons, Inc. and continues to manage and operate the firm as Simmons & Simmons, Inc.
