Safe Families For Children says it helped 26 children across Kansas this spring by providing temporary
hosting while parents regained stability.
The group, with chapters in Salina and Wichita, provided more than 500 nights of care and kept 15 families together. Neighbors also supported families with items like diapers and meal funds.
According to the organization, Safe Families for Children is powered by a network of volunteers who strive to surround families facing crisis with caring, compassionate community.
