Sterling finishes sixth at the NCCAA Cross Country Championship

JOPLIN, Mo. – The Sterling College Warriors finished sixth as a team at the NCCAA Cross Country Championship on Friday, Nov. 14. Daryen Jefferson led the Warriors finishing 27th with a time of 27:22.6 in the 8K.

Jacob Tonne was right behind Jefferson with the second fastest time on the team. He finished in 34th running a 27:49.8. Jace Gaston finished in 41st with a time of 28:15.0 while Camryn Gantt ran a time of 29:03.3.

Rounding out the field for the Warriors was Ian Chrisler as the fifth runner for Sterling. He ran a time of 29:29.2 to finish 55th. Wesley Brantley also competed, placing 76th with a time of 32:56.9.

This concludes the 2025 cross country season for the Warriors. The indoor track and field season starts on Saturday, Dec. 6 with Sterling traveling to Topeka, Kan. to compete in the Washburn Alumni Invitational.
