Vaughn H. Goering, 68, of Peabody, Kansas, formerly of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away June 8, 2026, at Peabody Health and Rehab. He was born on September 16, 1957, the son of Homer D. and Dorothy (Ewert) Goering.

He was a graduate of Moundridge High School with the Class of 1975. He attended Salina Area Technical College where he studied Diesel Mechanics. Vaughn worked as a farm laborer and a mechanic. He was a member of Eden Mennonite Church of Moundridge.

Vaughn is survived by his four brothers, Larry (Sarah) Goering of McPherson, KS., Roy (Sheralyn) Goering of Newton, KS., Ron (Cecilia) Goering and Sam (Marcia) Goering, all of Moundridge, KS.; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Jerome Goering.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Eden Mennonite Church, a meal will follow. Burial will take place at 9:45 a.m., in the church cemetery, prior to services.
