Tyler James Black, 47, of McPherson, KS, passed away December 31, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
He was born November 15, 1978 in Boise, Idaho, the son of James N. Black and Elizabeth A. Williams.
Tyler attended Wichita grade schools and graduated from McPherson High School. He then attended Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA and Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS.
He was an avid lover of sports, enjoyed baseball and basketball during high school, was a collector of music, loved playing video games and spending time with his friends and family.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Elizabeth A. Williams; grandmother, Marcia L. Williams; cousins, Kelly (Gina) Kaufman and Kory (Amanda) Kaufman; many aunts and uncles, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Black; his grandfather, Charles Williams; his grandparents, Lalois and Hobert Black; and his aunt, Joletta Kaufman Stucky.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
