Thomas Earl “Tom” Dillwith
1949-2026

Thomas Earl “Tom” Dillwith, 76, of Hutchinson, died February 5, 2026, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born February 21, 1949, in Bishop, California, to Earl and Alice (Schoustra) Dillwith.

Tom was a devoted servant of God and his community. He graduated from Bishop High School and L.I.F.E. Bible College in Los Angeles. Tom faithfully served as pastor of Full Gospel Assembly in Hutchinson for more than 15 years. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he worked diligently behind the scenes, serving as custodian at Park Place Christian Church for over 30 years and in janitorial services at Hutchinson Community College for more than five years.

Tom had a deep love for genealogy and was a dedicated history enthusiast. His passion for preserving the past led him to serve as historian for the Benton, California, Museum. Above all else, Tom’s greatest passion was Bible study, which guided his life and faith. He was a cherished member of Hope Church and will be remembered for his unwavering devotion, quiet service, and love for God’s Word.

On June 5, 1971, Tom married Leela Marie Bishop in Reseda, California. They shared over 55 years of marriage. She survives.

Also surviving are: his daughters, Rachel Sisler (Roger), Catherine Marlow (Richard), all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Preston Sisler, Dena Dillwith, Anna Sisler, Ami Sisler, Josephine Eddington (Michael), Alicia Marlow, Eleanore Marlow; great-grandchildren, Willow, Acacia, Gabe, Arthur; brother, Bill Dillwith (Karen) of Fallon, NV; and many other extended family members.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Chuck and Jack.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Elliott Chapel. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed here.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
