Tammy Louise PayneHitchcock, OK

Tammy Louise Payne, 61, of Hitchcock, Oklahoma, passed away on June 15, 2021. Tammy was born to parents Barbara Ellis and Walter Kuhl, on June 30, 1959, in Great Bend, Kansas.

She graduated from Sedgwick High School in 1978.

Tammy went on to study to be a Dietitian at Barton County Community College and graduate with as a Certified Dietitian.

Her hobbies included her 8 grandkids, crafts, gardening, baking everyone’s favorite dishes, BINGO, Mardi Gras, spending time with her family taking trips to the river.

Tammy met Jack Payne in 1981. They were married on December 23, 1982, in Great Bend, Kansas. Together, they raised 2 children: Jacklyn Dougherty and Susan Payne.

She is survived by husband, Jack Payne; daughters, Jacklyn Dougherty and husband Brian, and Susan Payne; grandchildren, Jason Payne and wife Ivy, Garret Schmidt, Mckenzie Payne, Mckinley Payne, Sage Schmidt, Cole Schmidt, Daniel Zuniga, and Blaze Jacobs; and great grandchildren, Brantley and Scarlet.

Tammy was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Great Bend Cemetery North. Memorials have been designated to the Tammy Payne Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
