Steven Scott Fensky, 76, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026 at his home. He was born on October 13, 1949 in Goessel, Kansas to Myron and Lucille (Wedel) Fensky, and adopted by Lola Jane (Krehbiel) Fensky in 1954.

Steven graduated from Goessel High School with the class of 1967.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Specialist 5.

Steven was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Moundridge.

He was united in marriage to Alice Ann Brooks on July 25, 1976 in Peabody, Kansas. She preceded him in death on August 9, 2015.

Steven was a member of the McPherson VFW Post 2715.

Steven is survived by his daughter, Renee (Jason) Taylor of Halstead; grandchildren, Jaylee and Rayna; brothers, Brion (Kathy) Fensky of Moundridge, and Luke (Rachel) Fensky of Moundridge; sister, Carmen (Karl) Jungbluth of Boone, IA; brother-in-law, Daryl (Connie) Brooks of Marion; many nieces and nephews and beloved tractor buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and infant daughter, Patricia.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2026 at Mound Township Cemetery with military honors. A memorial lunch will follow at 12 p.m. at the McPherson VFW Post 2715, 120 S Taft St, McPherson, KS 67460. Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, at the Moundridge Funeral Home.
