1936-2026
Ronald Eugene “Ron” Clark, 89, of Hutchinson, passed away March 5, 2026. He was born November 24, 1936, in Coffeyville, to John Forrest “Shorty” and Alzada Marie (Kessler) Clark.
In 1955, Ron married Thelma Marie Crowl, in Coffeyville. They later divorced. In 1972, he married Martha Gean “Marty” (Hudson) Jennings, in Sylvia.
Longtime residents of Hutchinson, Ron and Marty were members of New Covenant Presbyterian Church. In 1997, Ron was elected as Master at Masonic Lodge #445. He also served in the United States Navy Reserves from 1955-1965.
Ron was a loving and devoted husband and always had tremendous pride and appreciation for his wife’s talents and accomplishments. They both shared great love for the children in their family, including their beloved dogs.
Ron worked as a tool and die supervisor at Krause Plow for 33 years, receiving several awards for his contributions and service. Despite the jokes and pranks his co-workers were subjected to, he made lifelong friendships with many of those he worked with.
Ron loved to hunt and fish with his many dogs and hunting buddies. His adventures outdoors brought him great joy, his love and awe of nature never dimming.
Also, quite the craftsman, Ron enjoyed working on and sharing his many projects. These included martin houses, wooden puzzles, nut scratchers, and a lot of bottle “twirlers”.
Another interest of Ron’s was one he shared with his stepsons, Mike and Bill Jennings, as co-owner of C & J Cycle in Hutchinson.
Survivors include: his wife, Marty Clark of Hutchinson; son, Marc Clark (Debbie) of Farmington, NM; daughter, Vicki Reddy (Jamey) of Aztec, NM; stepson, Bill Jennings of Benton; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and devoted best friend, Bob Alumbaugh of Hutchinson.
