1966-2026
Rebecca Eileen Williams, 60 of Iola, Kansas passed away at Medicalodges in Iola, Kansas on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Rebecca was born on February 21, 1966 in Iola, Kansas to Merle and Betty (Callaway) Sutterby. Growing up in Iola her entire life, Rebecca was a proud 1984 graduate of Iola High School. On August 4, 1990 she married Rick Noyes, the two later divorced. She then married Lonnie Williams. He passed away on January 13, 2021.
Rebecca worked as a Para Professional at the Iola Middle School for 15 years. During her free time, Rebecca loved to go the Humboldt Speedway and watch the dirt track races. She also loved to cheer on her beloved KC Chiefs and KC Royals. As many would know by her boisterous enthusiasm that could be heard all over the neighborhood. Rebecca was also known to enjoy a quiet game of cards with her family. Her skill at Canasta was revered by her family. On those quiet days and evenings, Rebecca could be found watching her favorite game shows, coloring, and building crafts. Rebecca had a deep love for her family, but this loved was shared with her two cats, Ryder and Katie.
She was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Iola.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Betty Sutterby, husband, Lonnie Williams, and brother, Mark Sutterby.
Rebecca’s memory will carry on with her children, Rachel (Aaron) Wright of Iola, Angela (Travis) Barker of La Harpe, and Dillon Noyes of Belle Plaine, sister, Janet Buck, brothers, Raymond Sutterby, Richard Sutterby, and Roland Sutterby, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Rebecca’s Life will be held at the Harvest Baptist Church in Iola, Kansas on Saturday, May 16th at 2:00 pm. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home.
