Ray I. OllerValley Center, KS

Ray I. Oller, 69, passed away in his home on January 2, 2026, in Valley Center, KS. He was born to Leland and Geraldine Oller on May 26, 1956, in Kingman, KS. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Dixie Oller, mother and father, Leland and Geraldine Oller, and sister, Anna Smithisler. He is survived by his children Candice (Ryan) Johnston, Chanel (Garret Martin) Oller; grandchildren Brayden (Morgan Bollinger) Boone, Chalyn Boone, Taylor Switzer, Kinsley Johnston, Harper Johnston, Remi Johnston; great-grandchildren Banks Boone, Baker Boone; siblings John (Cathy) Oller.

Ray attended Spivey Grade School followed by Nashville-Zenda High School graduating in 1974 as class president. He then went on to attend Hutchinson Community College where he earned an Associates of Arts Degree. After college, Ray moved home to Spivey where he farmed and worked in the oil field. During this time, he met his love, Dixie, and they married on May 12, 1979, at the Methodist Church in Spivey, KS. They soon had two children and decided to relocate to Park City, KS. He worked for Koch Industries then Wynn Transportation before enjoying a full 32 year career at Pearson Construction.

Ray loved golfing, hunting, playing poker, and watching sports with his buddies, working around the house, especially on his skid steer, and attending barrel races with Dixie. In his free time he would always be found at his grandkids’ many activities. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 8th, 2026, at LeVenue, 109 W. Main Street, Valley Center, KS at 10:00 am. Lunch provided after the service. Graveside service at Duquoin Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
