Peggy Lee Hook, age 78, of Hesston, Kansas, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026. She was born on June 12, 1948 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska to Lyle Creighton and Clara Lois (Fitzpatrick) Wagers.

She graduated from Plattsmouth High School with the class of 1966. Peggy later graduated from Hillsboro Community College in Tampa, Floria with an associate’s degree in nursing.

Peggy was united in marriage to Arlis Hook on November 29, 2014 at the Water’s Edge Restaurant in Hesston.

Throughout the years, Peggy worked as a hospice nurse, oncology nurse and psychiatric nurse.

She was a member of the Newton Seventh Day Adventist Church in Newton, Kansas.

Peggy loved to travel and enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers throughout the years.

She is survived by her husband, Arlis Hook of Hesston; brother, Ron Wagers of Grand Junction, Colorado; and sister, Connie Wagers of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, on Thursday, September 10. 2026, at the Newton Seventh Day Adventist Church. Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 8:00pm, on Wednesday, September 9th at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Hesston. Private interment will take place at Hesston City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice of Wichita and sent to Miller-Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 32, Hesston, KS 67062.
