Pamela June Durst, 82, died Sunday, January 11, 2026 in her home surrounded by her loved ones in Moundridge, KS. She was born on August 3, 1943 in McPherson, Kansas.
Pam married Bob Durst of Moundridge on February 7, 1975 and they blended their two families together. Through all of life’s joys and sorrows, she never faltered in her faith and love of Jesus.
Pam worked at Mid-Kansas Coop in the office for several years. She then made the decision to go to Nursing School to become a Registered Nurse. Pam worked at Halstead Hospital, Pine Village and ended her career as a traveling home health nurse.
Mourning her loss, but celebrating her life are her children; Mitch Durst and his wife Monica of Moundridge, Kris Boleski of Wichita, and Kim Frye and her husband Dan of Moundridge.
Grandchildren include: Jerrod, Jeremy, Jordan Spotted Elk (Angie), Paige, Erica, Lauren, Joseph and his fiancé Sue Chanvannasee and Reagan Boleski (Kris and Steve), Autumn Stucky and Samantha Papini (Mitch and Monica), Caleb Frye and his wife Alyssa (Kim and Dan).
Great grandchildren include: Kaylee Hale (Jerrod), Carter and Carsen Spotted Elk (Jeremy and Casey), Ryan Spotted Elk-Dixon (Jordan and James) Archer and Emmy Stucky (Autumn and Michael), Shae Martin (Samantha and Nicholas), and Brooks Frye (Caleb and Alyssa).
Great, great grandchildren include: Beau Spotted Elk (Carter and Kate).
She will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Durst, parents Edwin and Era June Colby, one brother William “Bill” Colby, two daughters Angie and Lisa Durst, one son-in-law Steve Boleski and one granddaughter Jenna Spotted Elk.
Cremation is planned with a private burial to take place at Mound Township Cemetery, rural Moundridge with family and close friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Caring Hands Humane Society in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
