Maynard Lyle Peters, 95, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the Moundridge Manor. He was born on November 25, 1930 in Moundridge, Kansas to Ransom Peters and Mary (Boeckner) Peters-Wenger. Maynard had sixteen siblings.
Maynard lived in Moundridge as a child, attending French school.
He was united in marriage to Vera Belle Wiggers on August 26, 1951. Following their marriage, they lived in Georgia and Kansas.
Maynard was a lifelong pastor at Pinecrest Mennonite Church in Louisville, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Vera Belle Peters of Moundridge; son, Allen (Liz) Peters of Hartwell, GA; daughter, Thelma (Leland) Kahn of Louisville, GA; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Maynard was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Rolland Peters.
Funeral services will be held at Pinecrest Mennonite Church in Louisville, GA, and will be taken care of by James Funeral Home, 630 N Main St, Wrens, GA 30833. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Moundridge Funeral Home is in charge of Kansas arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Moundridge Manor in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
