Mary Jane Tatro, 87, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Pleasant View Home in Inman, KS. She was born October 1, 1938, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth (Goertz) Wiederstein.
Mary attended Galva High School, Galva, KS. In 1960, she married Louis Arnel in Miami, OK. They later divorced. In 1985, Mary married Phil Tatro. They were married for 6 years before his passing in1991.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Minnie Davis, Helen Crane, Edna Rucker; brothers, Dean Wiederstein and Jim Wiederstein.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet (Gary) Bell and Susan Arnel; grandchildren, Robert (Kimberly) Spooner, Chad Spooner, Megan (Travis) Tyler; and great grandchildren, Caleb Spooner, Alister Courtney, and Vaughn Spooner.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Empire Cemetery, 1145 22nd Ave. Galva, KS, with Rev. Charles Crumble Sr. officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hutchinson Animal Shelter and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
