Marilyn Jones

Marilyn J. Jones, 96, was born on March 10, 1930 and passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026.

She was born in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Carl and Anna Lillian Williams, and grew up in Haven, Kansas.

Marilyn was an accomplished pianist and loved playing the piano more than anything. She had been a school teacher for 26 years. She enjoyed the beach in California, where she resided for 58 years.

She is survived by two children, Brad Jones and Carla Applegate; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Joyce Vogelgesang.

A private graveside service was held at Haven Priest Cemetery. Ott Funeral Home in Haven was in charge of arrangements.
