Lois Lipner, 91, passed away February 5, 2026, at Kenwood Plaza, St. John, Kansas. She was born on July 5, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, to Herman and Teddy (Chaikin) Lipner.
A resident of St. John coming from Ellinwood, Lois worked as a librarian. She served in the United States military and was stationed in German during her enlistment. Lois loved animals – particularly dogs – and had quite the sweet tooth.
Lois had a brother, Stewart Lipner. She is preceded in death by her parents; and aunt, Ethel Dushkin.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Lakin Comanche Cemetery, Ellinwood, Kansas, with Chaplain Nathan Rush presiding. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials have been designated to the Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
