1990-2026
Lindsay Diane Hoveskeland-Sparlin entered her heavenly home on January 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 9, 1990, she was the cherished daughter of Michael (Mick) and Kathy Hoveskeland and will forever remain the light of their world.
Lindsay lived a life defined by faith, courage, quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She was a graduate of Goddard High School and Friends University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Communications. After graduation, Lindsay worked in several public-serving roles, finding joy in helping others. Her dream job was with Opticology Eye Care, where she handled insurance claims and cared deeply for the patients she served.
Lindsay embraced life with a zest for learning, growth, and adventure. She enjoyed camping, gardening, music, water sports, and being actively involved in church. She also loved art, crafting, shopping, and Sunday Funday with family. Lindsay enjoyed all things holiday, enthusiastically decorating for and celebrating every one of them. Above all, Lindsay’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and daughter who always placed the needs of others before her own. Her compassion, welcoming smile, selflessness, and fun-loving, crazy-funny personality will be remembered by all who knew her. Her quiet strength and memory will be forever cherished.
On September 15, 2018, Lindsay married the love of her life, Landon Sparlin. Together they built a life filled with love, devotion, and treasured memories. Lindsay was immensely proud of her three beautiful daughters, Laykin, Emberlyn, and Addison, who were the light of her life. Her legacy will live on through them.
Lindsay was preceded in death by her aunt and uncle, Patricia and Charles Zieman; her grandparents, Ervin and Amy Hoveskeland; and Willis and Elizabeth Moore.
Those left to honor and carry on her legacy include her husband, Landon Sparlin; daughters, Laykin, Emberlyn, and Addison of Wichita, Kansas; her parents, Michael and Kathy Hoveskeland of Goddard, Kansas; her aunt, Carolyn Ives of El Dorado, Kansas; and many loving in-laws, cousins, and extended family members.
Lindsay will be deeply missed by her beloved family, dear friends, neighbors, co-workers, and the countless lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 23, at 2:30 p.m. at Evidence Church, 11135 W. Kellogg, Wichita, Kansas. In honor of Lindsay’s life and legacy, memorial contributions may be made to Victory in the Valley or to Go Fund Me for Landon and the girls.
