Karen Bernice Lackey, 71, of Hutchinson passed away at the Hospice House on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. She was born on April 30, 1954 in Marysville, Kansas. She was the daughter of William B. and Lois Christie Stowell. Karen attended Hutchinson High School. She was married to Harlan Lackey and they later divorced. She previous worked for Lowen Sign and was a home health aide. Karen is survived by sisters; Joyce (Don) Weinbrenner of Hillsboro, Loma (Lonnie) Seachris of Buhler, Helen (Dave) Ediger of Buhler, Wilma (John) Winn of Lebo, Debbie (Tony) Botkin of Lebo. Brothers; Robert Stowell of Chino Valley Az., Rick (Angie) Stowell of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by brothers; Lyle, Melvin and Bill Stowell. Sisters; Nadine Frye, Irene Stowell, Judy Whittington, Kathy McIver, Carol Blevins, Ruth Hedger and Naomi Weiss.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Hutchinson, Kansas
