Juanita Peters, 94, of Buhler, died March 28, 2026, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community. She was born November 29, 1931, in Little River, to Lawrence and Vera (Seeger) Postier.
On November 22, 1952, Juanita married Harold K. Peters in McPherson. They shared 60 years of marriage before his death on November 30, 2012.
Juanita was a loving and devoted homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, and puzzle books. Her favorite past time was crocheting caps and scarves for First Call for Help Inc. in Hutchinson. Juanita made over 1,000 crocheted pieces for those in need. She was the heart of her family, showering them with love and receiving the same devotion in return.
Juanita is survived by: children, Dale (Nina) Peters of Hutchinson, Robert (Margaret) Peters of Meeker, OK, John (Betty) Peters of Waynesville, MO, Ken Peters of Hutchinson, Daniel (Marsha) Peters of Sterling, Linda (Glendon) Jones of Hutchinson, and Mary Crumble of Wichita; 11 grandchildren; numerous great and great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her: parents; husband; and brother, Gerald Postier.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Gary Getting officiating. Burial will follow in North Inman Cemetery. Friends may sign her book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Call for Help Inc., in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
