Jane DevoreLarned, KS

Jane Devore, 68, passed away March 19, 2026 at McPherson Health and Rehab.

She was born June 14, 1957 in Wichita, the daughter of Donald Clayton and Ruth Ann Henderson Martin.

A longtime Larned area resident, she was of the Christian faith. She grew up on a dairy farm by Zook, KS.  The youngest of 5 siblings, Vicky, Susie, Dean & her identical twin Joan.  After graduating from Larned High School she married Rus DeVore on August 14th, 1976 and shortly after their children Julie and Matthew were born.  When her kids were young she was a stay at home mom.  Later she had many jobs including running a watermelon and cantaloupe farm with Rus.  She also worked in banking and attended Victory Bible School in Tulsa, OK.

One of her favorite memories was attending twin conventions with her twin sister Joan and competing in the look-alike contest, taking home 3rd place.  She loved quilting, baking, sewing, and taking her grandkids to the movies.  She was also an avid sports fan of all kinds, ranging from football to bull riding.  When she passed, she was a resident of Hutchinson, KS at Mission Place where she was well known and loved by all.

Survivors include: daughter, Julie (Monte) Reneau, Hutchinson; son, Matthew Devore, Seattle, Washington; sisters, Vicky (Darrell) Cole and Joan (David) Moody, both of Gordonville Texas; brother-in-law, Kim Barnes, Larned; sister-in-law, Ann Martin, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; and four grandchildren, Nia Reneau, Leyton Reneau, Kye Reneau, and CJ Devore.

She is preceded in death by: sister, Susan Barnes; and brother, Dean Martin.

Cremation has taken place and services will be announced at a later date by Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
