Glenda Lea Walter, age 74, of Colony, Kansas, passed away April 26, 2026, at the Allen County Regional Hospital, Iola, Kansas. Glenda was born July 6, 1951, in Chanute, Kansas, to Glen Staton and Leola (Crowder) Staton.

Glenda married Ronald Walter on September 23, 1967, in Fort Scott, Kansas. She worked at the Allen County Hospital and then she worked in several area medical offices.

Glenda enjoyed collecting and decorating with western art. She liked to show her English Mastiff, Addie. Glenda particularly liked to go out to eat. She and Ron hauled the girls across the state to many rodeos. Glenda loved her family and spending time with her granddaughters and supporting their activities.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents.

Glenda is survived by her husband, Ron, of the home; Cathy (Jerry) Dreher, Nita Walter; granddaughters, Caitlin (Rhett) Pursley, Carly Dreher, Breckyn Falcon; great-granddaughter, Kyndall Pursley; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in The Venue at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas. Burial will follow in Welda Cemetery, Welda, Kansas.
