Francis "Frank" Niemeyer, age 97, passed away on January 12, 2026.
Frank was born in Iola on November 13, 1928, the son of William Niemeyer and Ruby Meadows Niemeyer. In his early years he lived on a farm southwest of Gas City and moved to Iola in 1937. Frank married Patricia (Pat) Carlton in 1961. Frank worked as an accountant for Sinclair / Atlantic Richfield in Kansas City, Chicago and Los Angeles. He retired in 1985 after working 33 years with the company.
Frank is survived by his wife Patricia, children: William Niemeyer, David Niemeyer and Steven Niemeyer; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
