Evelyn Louise (Cochran) Hawkey

Evelyn Louise Cochran Hawkey was born May 12, 1946 in Lincoln Illinois, she passed away January 24, 2026 in Kingman Kansas.

She was the daughter of Walter Cochran Sr and Myra Haycox Cochran.

On June 6, 1966 she married Alfred "Butch" Hawkey, they moved to Kingman KS in 1979 where they made a permanent home.

Evelyn retired from working at the local Dairy Queen for the Thimesch Family.

Evelyn enjoyed spending time cooking and spending time with her grandkids.

Survivors include Daughters: Kimberly (Steve) Olson, Christine (Lonnie) Spires, Tricia (former spouse Jason) Fairchild, Son: James "Ray" Hawkey (former spouse, Wendy) along with 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. 5 sisters and 4 brothers.

She was preceded in death by her husband Butch, grandson Chase Allen, and numerous brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held at Hoosier Cemetery, Kingman County Kansas on April 18, 2026 at 12:00pm.
