Duane A. Holdeman, 94, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Moundridge Manor. He was born on December 22, 1931, in Hesston, Kansas, the son of Noah O. and Dessie (Unruh) Holdeman.

He was a member of the Meridian Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in rural Hesston.

Duane was united in marriage to Frances Lowen on October 5, 1952, in Creswell, OR. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2022.

For 75 years, he was a farmer.

Survivors include his children, Daniel (Linda) Holdeman of Stapleton, GA; daughter-in-law, Wanda (Gladwin) Koehn of Brooksville, MS, Priscilla and Arlo Hibner, Rio Verde, Brazil, Caleb (Joanne) Holdeman of Riceville, IA, Stanley (Kathy) Holdeman of Hartwell, GA, Harold (Irene) Holdeman of Rio Verde, Brazil, Irene (Sidney) Schmidt, of Adair, OK, Adeline (Staven) Schmidt, of El Campo, TX, and Lester (Sharon) Holdeman of Pryor, OK; 31 grandchildren; 86 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Wanda Peters, and Letha Peters, both of Louisville, GA; four sisters-in-law, Karen (Franklin) Wenger, Lobelville, TN, Janet Holdeman, Centralia, MO, Lois Holdeman, Brooksville, MS, and Betty Loewen, Rio Verde, Brazil; four brothers, Howard (Pauline) of Brooksville MS and Dale, (Twila), Milferd, and Lloyd (Luanne), all of Wrens, GA; and one brother-in-law, Isaac (Rosalie) Loewen, Glenn, CA.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Frances; parents-in-law; infant sister; son, John Holdeman; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers; nine sisters-in-law; and eleven brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Meridian Mennonite Church, Hesston. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, June 8, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the church.
