Donald Wayne Kirchoff
1935-2026

Donald Wayne Kirchoff, 91, died July 16, 2026, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born January 3, 1935, in Coffeyville, to Louis F. and Maude Marie (Chance) Kirchoff.

Donald was a farmer as well as a truck driver for many years. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching sports; especially KU basketball and NASCAR. In his younger years, Donald also enjoyed fishing. Donald liked to ride his bicycle and rode his bike until age 88. Most of all Donald enjoyed spending time with his family. He was baptized in the Catholic Church in 1956.

On September 29, 1956, he married Mary Ann Louise Dohrman, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Bushton. They shared over 47 years of marriage; prior to her death on June 16, 2004.

Donald is survived by: his daughters, Kathy (Larry) Claar of Garden City; Karen (Mark) Percival of Garden City; Carol (Rick) Rupp of Thorton, CO; Sharon King of Hutchinson; grandchildren: Curtis (Summer) Claar, Wayne (Sondy) Claar, Megan (Brian) Moore, Ashley (Scott) Briand, Cole (Elyse) Percival, Kayla (Jeff) Fraizer, Luke (Sarah) and Kaleb King; great-grandchildren: Westyn, Taryn, Clayn, Castyn, Paxton, Breckyn, Zayne, Grant, Ethan, Mara, Chloe, Addison, Evan; sisters-in-law, Joan Kirchoff, Betty Dohrman, Yvonne (Jack) Perry; brothers-in-law, Jack (Colette) Dohrman and Marvin (Sharon) Dohrman; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Mary Ann Kirchoff; son-in-law, Wayne King; brothers, Bob and Jim Kirchoff; in-laws, Bill and Viola Dohrman; and brother-in-law, Maurice Dohrman.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will follow at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Bushton. Friends may call Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
