Donald Lee HudsonHutchinson, KS

Donald Lee Hudson, 91, passed away May 16, 2026, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.  He was born on October 3, 1934, in Elk City, KS, the son of Chester and Ethel (Trowbridge) Hudson.

Don graduated from Eureka High School in 1953.   He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from June 1957 until he was honorably discharged in May 1959. He worked at Cessna Eaton as a tool grinder and maker and retired after 34 years.  On November 1, 1959, Don married Martisha Troll.  They later divorced.

He is proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Oscar Hudson, and Lloyd Hudson; sisters, Ethel Horzempa, Thelma Lore, and Doris Canfield.

Don is survived by his daughter, Mary (Larry) Toews; son, Jerry (Susie) Hudson; sisters, Lois Merchant, Carol Hudson; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS. Graveside military honors will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2026, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W.4th Ave, Hutchinson, KS.
