Denise A. Willis, 65, died April 6, 2026, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born November 11, 1960, in Hutchinson, to Fred Allen and Bunny Lee (Pohlman) Willis.
Denise graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1978. She owned and operated Nisi’s Daycare (Denise Willis Daycare) for over 20 years. Denise enjoyed being outside and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She cherished her time spent reading the Bible. Denise loved animals, from feeding the local stray cats to snuggling her two dogs, Bosco and Dezmon.
Denise is survived by her daughters, Sunshine George of Nickerson and Dezarae Willis of Hutchinson; brother, Dan Willis of Andover; grandchildren, Uriah Gilley, Lily Chapman and Elijah Chapman; great-grandchildren, Ezra Gilley and Emersyn; beloved dogs, Bosco and Dezmon.
She was welcomed home by her parents; granddaughter, Jaedyn Douglas; and sister, Donna Wilson.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary.
