Deloris “Dee” RaylHutchinson, KS

Deloris “Dee” Rayl, 87, died July 17, 2026, at Keepsake Kottage- Charlie House in Wichita. She was born January 13, 1939, in Nicut, OK, to Willie Lasley and Ruby Melba (Bolden) Seabolt.

Dee graduated from Moscow High School, Moscow, KS, in 1957. She then went on to pursue her career at Sidney’s Hairdressing College.

In her spare time, Dee found joy in embroidery, watching her favorite soap operas, and helping those in need. She especially cherished the time she spent playing volleyball, softball, and riding dune buggies with her husband, Larry, their daughter, Renee, son-in-law Rick, son Brent and daughter-in-law Kerry and many friends. They also enjoyed attending car shows as they were proud members of the Salt City Cruisers Car Club. Dee was also very proud of her Cherokee heritage. As a second grader, she attended the Seneca Indian School in Oklahoma, an experience that remained a meaningful part of her life and connection to her Native American roots.

On September 24, 1961, she married Larry Phillip Rayl, in Moscow, KS. They shared over 59 years of marriage, prior to his death on December 19, 2020.

Deloris is survived by: her daughter, Renee (Rick) Ewert; daughter-in-law, Kerry Rayl; grandchildren, Rebecca (Josh) Albert, Cooper Ewert, Chris Wiens, and Caleb (Elizabeth Miller) Rayl; great-grandchildren, Agitha Rayl, Weston Albert, and Lyla Renee Albert; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ruby Seabolt; sisters, Wanda Smith- Bean, Sadie Breuer, and Doris Starr; brothers, Billy, Loye, and Lynn Seabolt; son, Brent Rayl; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign Dee’s memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2026, with family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to receive friends.
