Dee Rose Hachenberger, 85, died April 25, 2026, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born June 22, 1940, in Lyman, NE, to Abraham Bravo and Delphina (Cordova) Agoitia.
Dee had an enormous passion for golf, which she pursued with enthusiasm when she joined the Carey Park Women’s Golf Association for several years. Dee loved her travels with Dean. They traveled all over the US and especially enjoyed their time in Florida, Las Vegas, Santa Fe and Myrtle Beach. In her spare time, Dee also enjoyed shopping and cooking amazing meals for her family. Above all, her most favorite moments were those spent with family.
On August 15, 1971, she married Dean Hachenberger, in Hutchinson. They shared over 54 years of marriage. She was the love of his life, and their years together were filled with companionship.
Dee is survived by: her loving husband, Dean Hachenberger; brother, Jerry Agoitia; daughters, Julie Thompson, Susan Hachenberger, Sandra (Brad) Warner, and Courtney Harris; grandchildren, Hayley (Travis) Herman, Cedrick Harris, Conar Harris, Olyviah Harris, Penelope Harris, Rob Warner, Ashley Warner, Jade Pepper, Graham Shoemaker, Jonathan Kinyon, Anita Hoffman, Sophia Hernandez, Stephanie McCabria, and Pilar Cabral; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; siblings, Albert Agoitia, Ben Agoitia Sr., Edward Agoitia, Frances Rangel, Virginia Almanza, Aurora (Rhodie) Rhoten; and children, Sandra Dee Mendoza, Sally Kinyon, and Joseph Cabral.
Cremation has taken place. Thursday, May 7, 2026, family will be present from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary to receive friends. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Funeral liturgy will take place the following day, at 10 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Elliott Mortuary. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice House, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
