Daniel Curtis MichaelIola, KS

aniel Michael was born October 13, 1959 in Iola, Kansas to Sterlin and Vivian Michael. He passed away June 20th, 2026 in Chanute, Kansas.
The Loves of his life were his daughter Kristin Michael and granddaughters Lizzy Michael and Brie Kelley.  He enjoyed driving his truck, tea in hand, taking care of his cats and an occasional racoon. He loved fishing and classic television. Dan always had an open door to his friends and had several roommates over the years.
Most of his childhood memories included his brothers fishing all night with Grandpa Phil, and playing baseball that his dad coached.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wendoll, and sister-in-law, Jeannie Michael.
He is survived by his daughter and granddaughters, siblings Tim (Cheri) Michael, John Michael, Mark (Alysha) Michael and sister Theresia (Randy) Lampi.
Following Dan’s wishes, cremation is entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home and a visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home on Friday, June 26th with the family greeting friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Burial will take place in a private cemetery in Geneva.
