Clema M. RhoadesJetmore, KS

Clema M. Rhoades was born December 10, 1939 in Spearville, Kansas to Herman and Mabel Rabe.

She married Donald E. Rhoades on March 15, 1957. They were married for 66 years before Donald passed away with Clema by his side in 2024.

Clema lived with her husband and three children in the Springfield, Missouri area for several years. They moved back to Jetmore where they owned the Jack and Jill grocery store. They moved away for a few years, but moved back to the area where they lived out the rest of their years.

Clema worked as an accountant and book-keeper at the Credit Union in Springfield and Columbia, Missouri. Her greatest gift was as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Alpha Gamma Alpha society, and Spoonbill Quilters Club. She loved to quilt and read.

Clema passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister, her husband Donald, and her son Damon Rhoades.

Survivors include: two children, Vindy (Bob) Couchman, Livonia, Mo, and Adena (Jeff) Jones, Jetmore, Ks. and daughter-in-law, Phyllis (Damon) Rhoades, Loveland, Co. Several grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore, with Reverend Nathan Neugabauer presiding.
