Carol D. Kebert
1941-2026
Carol Darlene Kebert, 84, of rural Fredonia, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Morningstar Care in Neodesha. Carol was born on December 13, 1941, in Independence, KS, the daughter of Clarence Glen Ralph and Jewell (Harbour) Parks. Growing up Carol played piano, helped care for younger siblings and was a lifeguard. She graduated from Independence High School in 1960.

Carol went on her first date with Lloyd Kebert on July 31, 1958, became engaged on July 31, 1959 and on July 31, 1960, Carol and Lloyd were married and began the next 65 years of life together. In their early years, Carol worked alongside Lloyd tending to their farm during harvest and helping take care of some of the animals. She also enjoyed raising Spitz dogs.

Carol was a great cook and could come up with a meal in no time if family or friends stopped by. She enjoyed listening to Country Music, loved African Violets and Peonies, as well as watching Hummingbirds. After retiring, Lloyd and Carol took several bus tours and cruises often traveling with family or friends. Most importantly, Carol loved her family and friends.

Three Grandchildren: Brandon Kebert of Independence, KS, Jessica Carey of Owasso, Ok., and Nathan Carey of Afton, OK.

One Great Grandson: Hunter Kebert of Fredonia, KS

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, an infant child Carolyn Sue, and grandson Kyle Kebert, four brothers and one sister.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Grace First Assembly of God in Fredonia at 2:00 pm, visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at the Ross Cemetery. Memorials of her memory have been suggested to Alzheimer’s Association and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
