Carol Ann Biby, 68, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, formerly of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at Hillcrest Manor in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She was born on May 11, 1957 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Marvin and Cherol (Reck) Schoon.
Carol grew up and attended schools in Haven, Kansas, graduating with the class of 1975. In 1977, she graduated from St. John’s College in Winfield with an associate’s degree in business.
She worked as a secretary at the Chamber of Commerce in Winfield. After the birth of her son, Carol became a stay at home mom from then on raising her two children.
She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Carol also was active in the Grace United Methodist Church in Winfield. She assisted as church secretary, and other church activities. Carol was also very involved with her children’s school functions and PTO. Due to her disability and trials and tribulations, Carol was a devoted follower of Christ and gained a special seat in Heaven.
Carol enjoyed swimming, cross stitching, reading, walking, board games and card games, and K-State and KU sports. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Cameron Biby of Winfield, KS, and Heather (Jeremy) Johns of Blackwell, OK; seven grandchildren, Breanna, Lucas, Patrick, and Bethany Biby and Hank, Calvin and Chet Johns; brother, Scott (Michelle) Schoon of Winfield; and sisters, Robin (David) Cherry of Buhler, Anne (Terry) Stankey of Haven, and Lisa (Jeff) Stringer of Hutchinson.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Carol was known for her infectious smile and laughter. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson. The service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/orlhutch. Burial will follow at Laurel Cemetery, rural Haven. Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2026 at Ott Funeral Home, Haven.
