Betty Ann Postier, 90, passed away on March 19, 2026 at her home in McPherson, KS.
Betty was born on September 17, 1935 in Valley Center, KS, the daughter of Roy and Velma (Byers) Wright.
Betty attended Valley Center grade school and graduated from Valley Center High School, KS in 1953. Betty Wright was united in marriage to Keith Raymond Postier on November 13, 1953 in Valley Center, KS. This union was blessed with the birth of four children, Karen, Ronald, Rick and Gary.
Through the years, Betty worked for Duckwalls, Morris and Sons, Greens Appliance, and Peters Lumber Company and she finished her working career at Gregory Inc. until she retired.
Betty enjoyed cooking, quilting, working in the yard, traveling, casinos, taking cruises and spending time with her friends and family.
Betty is survived by her children, Karen (George) Suggs of Morrilton, AR, Rick (Regina) Postier of Polk City, IA, Gary (Barb) Postier of McPherson, KS; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Treva Griffitts of Emporia, KS and Zola Sawyer of Wichita, KS; other relatives, many nieces and nephews, and host of friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith Postier; son, Ronald Postier; her siblings, Dale, Jim, Ted, Roy (Bunky) Wright and Sandra Cole.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society or Gentiva Hospice, in care of Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid St., McPherson, KS 67460.
