Ann Betzen, 77, passed away peacefully while surrounded by friends that family and family that are friends. Ann loved sewing, reading, music, camping and traveling. Mom and dad loved exploring Kansas together. She always looked forward to spending time with family and friends and going out to eat. She loved her family and the Catholic church. She had a passion for serving her community by volunteering. She spent many hours volunteering with her children’s school library in Andale, Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland, POMC in Wichita and St. Joseph Alter Society in Andale. She was preceded in death by her husband; Dave Beltzen, son; Keith Betzen, brother; Raymond Messerschmidt, sister-in-law Mary Worlein and grand dog; Gracie May. Ann is survived by children; Lisa Betzen. Neil (Mary) Betzen, Amy Betzen and Michelle (Zachary) Thorpe. Grandchildren; Blade, Mary, Kelton (Carolyn), Paxton, Avalon, Sophia and Jackson. Siblings; Jean LaRue, Bob, George, Henry (Anita), James (Tomoko) Messerschmidt. Recitation of the rosary will be said at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 8, 2026 and the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2026 both at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Andale, Kansas.
