Adella R. Parks
1937-2026

Adella Ruth (Bohn) Parks, the daughter of Matt Bohn and Ruth (Berroth) Bohn, was born on November 22, 1937, at Alma, Kansas. She was one of 8 children; Charles, Delbert, Jean, Bernice, Dave, Judy, and Larry. She attended a one room school house in Alma.

On June 29, 1954, Adella was united in marriage to Clement Roy Parks, Jr. at Alma, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Hill City for several years prior to moving to McPherson, Kansas. Through the years, Adella was a stay at home mom and enjoyed taking care of her family. After her children were older, she had an in-home daycare, and occasionally, would clean houses for a few people in town.

Adella was a Christian, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many.

Adella Parks, 88, passed away on January 29th, 2026, while in the loving care of her daughter, Rebecca, in Colorado. Adella was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Charles, Delbert, and Dave; and two sisters, Jean and Bernice; two sons, Monty and Gordon; a son-in-law, Robert Carlson; a granddaughter, Shayna Pritchard; and three grandsons, Cole and Cody Parks and Atcher Nading.

She is survived by her children, Bill Parks of McPherson, KS, Tim Parks of Rifle, CO, Brenda Carlson of St. Augustine, FL, and Rebecca Pritchard and her husband, Chuck Pritchard, of De Beque, CO; her siblings, Judy Oppenlander of Wamego, KS and Larry Bohn of Alma, KS; brother-in-law, Richard Parks of Wichita, KS; 20 grandchildren, Andriea, Jason, Danny, Krystal, James, Kristin, Tyler, Shanda, Kesley, Devon, Brianna, Emma, Andrew, Jeff, Jenny, Dayna, Lyndsy, Sherra, Becky, and Heather; her 43 great-grandchildren, Courtney, Macy, Skyler, Ava, Jillian, Colby, Jayd, Cassie, Destany, Landen, Mya, Jace, Jesse, Brooklyn, Ellie, Elijah, Jaden, Rhian, Ridge, Rhett, Rooks, Kannon, Hattie, Jerrett, Juliette, Jace, Jillian, Amaya, Brittney, Baylee, Brayden, Eli, Kaden, Traetyn, Kynnidy, Allyson, Abram, Andrew, Aubrey, Blake, Lucas, Bridger, and Lana; and two great-great-grandchildren, Zander and Bekkan, and one due in March.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, June 29, 2026, at the McPherson Cemetery with Pastor Lynn Scott officiating.
